Pure Fundraising, one of the leading telephone fundraising agencies for more than 15 years, is delighted to announce the appointment of Helen Mackenzie as the new CEO of the company.
Helen brings a wealth of experience to the company. She ran a successful business for 18 years, and has been personally involved in fundraising for over 20 years, mainly with Childline and NSPCC; raising over £800,000. Over the last three years she’s become more involved on a professional level, working with corporate partnerships at Save the Children and importantly for heading up a company like Pure, Helen has also had first-hand experience in a supporter facing role, engaging supporters in face to face payroll giving. This commitment to charities will make her invaluable for Pure in developing the business further.
Helen said, “I’m really excited to join a team of highly experienced, committed, and passionate fundraisers. There have been many changes and challenges in fundraising recently, so it’s an honour to have the opportunity work with Pure Fundraising who are already leading their field in terms of their ethical and supporter focussed approach to fundraising.
“Charities are doing a fantastic job in very challenging circumstances, so I want to ensure that Pure commits to working with charities of all sizes, helping them respond to the challenges that recent changes in fundraising regulation present.”
In the coming year Helen is looking to work hand in hand with charities, governing bodies and the sector as a whole to help challenge and change the perception of fundraising that’s been built up from recent negative press.
Helen also wants the company to continue to live and breathe its reputation for strong ethical principles, teamwork, and integrity. Pure’s ‘Supporter Focussed’ approach has always been sensitive to the needs of supporters, so she feels it’s great to see the regulation of telephone fundraising bringing in changes that can only improve the reputation of the industry as a whole.
